Simple, Complex and Compound sentences

Make sentences using the following starters:

Make sure your sentences have lots of detail, good vocabulary and more importantly make sense.

Keep in mind to use capital letters, commas, full stops and other punctuation where necessary.

After you write each sentence, identify whether it is Simple, Complex or Compound and write it down.

Last but not least, read through your sentences once you finish.

  3. In addition to...
  4. Finally.....
  5. Usually...
  6. Meanwhile...
  7. However...
  8. Unless...
  9. As soon as...
  10. As.....
  11. On a wet, windy Wednesday...
  12. Like a flash.....
  13. On the other hand...
  14. Exhausted..
  15. Bewildered...
