Capital letters, Commas and Full Stops

Capital letters:

- used in the beginning of the sentences. 

Example:  She went to watch a movie.

- name of a place and a person (proper noun), days of the week, months etc.

Example: Anna and Saly are planning to go to Paris next Friday.

- when somebody is beginning to speak.

Example: Maria said, "It is very hot today."


Full Stops:

- at the end of a sentence.

Commas: 

- to separate things in a list.

Example: Vince went to the shop to buy milk, bread, sugar and eggs.

- when a pause is needed for the sentence to make sense.

Punctuate:

  1. he loves playing with his friends 
  2. my cats name is coco
  3. last summer we visited edinburgh glasgow and liverpool
  4. jack attends maths tuition every friday
  5. all the schools in england have summer holidays during july and august
  6. irene was born on the 25th january 2004 in chelsea 
  7. sadly he was not allowed to go on the france trip
  8. while my mother was cooking i was doing my homework
  9. what a disastrous party
  10. dont text while you are walking
  11. when i go to india i want to see the tajmahal
  12. if you dont revise properly for your tests you will get low marks.
  13. before going to bed at night you have to brush your teeth
  14. as the weather was not suitable the match was postponed to thursday
