Problem Solving

1. If the cost of 3 kg of potatoes is £2.84, what is the cost of 0.75 kg potatoes?

2. The cost of 500 g butter is increased from £3.79 to £4. How much more would you have to spend if you buy 5 kg of butter?

3. Maria gave away 4/7 of  the sweets she bought. If she had 21 sweets left, how many sweets did she buy?

4. New York is 5 hours behind London. If the time in London is 3:28 pm, what is the time in New York? Write it in 24 hour format.
