Making simple sentences interesting

Add embedded clauses to the following sentences to make them interesting:
Example: 
 The cat was sleeping on the mat. 
 The cat, which was white with brown patches, was sleeping on the mat.

Be as imaginative as you can:

1. The dog chased the cat.

2. My friend likes football.

3. Anna won the race.

4. The cake was baked by my mother.

5. The building was made of steel and concrete.

6. Yogurt is tasty.

7. The child sat on the chair.

8. London is the capital of England.

9. The spacecraft landed safely.

10. The rollercoaster is the main attraction of the amusement park.

11. The shop is closed.

12. The balloon popped.

13.The children were noisy.

14. The house looked abandoned.

15. The fox ate the rabbit.

Note: Make five sentences (of your own) with embedded clause in them.
